Bakersfield Special Waste Facility & Stop ‘n’ Shop New Hours - Effective October 6
Effective Monday, October 6, 2025, Kern County Public Works will be expanding hours of operation at its Bakersfield Special Waste Facility and the facility’s Stop ‘n’ Shop Program. Kern County residents will have more opportunities to dispose of their household hazardous waste items and to collect a variety of used paints, household cleaners, pool chemicals, pesticides, and much more – free of charge!

New Hours of Operation: Effective October 6, 2025 Mondays-Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. |
