The Keep Kern Beautiful Committee Meeting is Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the Public Services Building's Public Meeting Room on the 1st Floor: 2700 M Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301.
These Committee Meetings are open to the public for Kern County residents who are interested in community clean-up efforts and beautification projects.

Keep Kern Beautiful (KKB) serves to protect and beautify our natural environment by means of community engagement, education, and empowerment.
The KKB’s vision is to inspire a culture of environmentally responsible citizens within the communities of the County of Kern, focusing on areas such as:
The KKB Committee serves to recommend to the Kern County Board of Supervisors, policies, programs, and specific efforts, which promote the mission statement of KKB, and to actively participate in the implementation of various programs and projects to achieve KKB’s mission statement and vision.
Established by Board of Supervisors Resolution 2021-024 dated February 9, 2021.
Five members and five alternate members to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Each Supervisor shall appoint a member and alternate member to represent their district. A member is eligible to be reappointed if he or she attends at least sixty percent (60%) of KKBC meetings annually.
Two-year term.
It shall be the responsibility of the committee to:

Regular meetings are held quarterly on the third Wednesday of each month from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Members shall serve without compensation.
Oath of office is required. No Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests, No Ethics Training required.
